

STREETS AND ALLEYS
Council member Codi Kitts is assigned to the Streets and Alleys committee. They are dedicated to ensuring the streets and alleys of Caledonia are well-maintained, safe, and continually improved.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Upkeep
• Oversee regular street and alley maintenance, including cleaning and debris removal.
• Address potholes, cracks, and necessary repairs to maintain smooth and safe roads.
• Ensure timely snow removal, salting, and other seasonal services.
2. Infrastructure Improvements
• Assess the condition of roads and alleys, identifying areas that need resurfacing or repaving.
• Plan for new streetlights, and drainage enhancements.
• Coordinate with contractors to carry out improvement projects efficiently.
3. Community Safety
• Monitor and maintain street signage, traffic control, and crosswalk visibility.
• Respond to concerns about traffic flow, speed limits, and potential street hazards.
• Ensure alleys are clear, accessible, and free of obstructions.
4. Budgeting and Planning
• Prioritize projects based on community needs and available funding.
• Pursue grants and external funding for larger-scale infrastructure projects.
5. Community Engagement
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, addressing concerns and gathering feedback.
• Keep the community informed about upcoming projects and improvements.
